GECA – Giovani e cuore aritmico Onlus
GECA is an association for life, that strives to accompany, guide and support young people with arrhythmias. The association was founded in 2000 to promote the prevention and treatment of a disease of genetic origin, arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy, of which many aspects were and still are unknown and that can tragically cause the sudden death of many young people.
Over the years, thanks to our close partnership with the Cardiology Unit of Padua Hospital and a number of other local organisations, our care work has also been extended to include other arrhythmic diseases. We firmly believe that the families who live with these conditions can help one another and share their views, and therefore consider the association a meeting point.
